Charleston Residential Properties Contract Update as of 5/9/14.  Charleston Analysis of residential properties going under contract(contingent) during week of 5:2:14-5:8:14 The weekly analysis of residential properties going under contract over the past week in MLS areas 11-78 is attached.

Buying activity is phenomenal.
Last week saw the most home buying activity ever in the Charleston area.
This week we had 74 homes go under contact in the Summerville/Ladson 61-64 areas!!
Prices were very good everywhere except the Goose Creek 71-76 areas.
James Island, West Ashley, and Mt P all continue to be very strong.
Short sales have become a very small segment of our market.
Bank owned properties were never a very large segment.  They remain, but not a big player.
